Disappointed

I have been a fan of the total war series for many years, and when I saw this game come up in the app store I immediately investigated and then purchased.

After a couple of days I must say I am disappointed. The game has almost no strategic level play, the vast majority of the game is strictly an tactical level RTS.

For fans of RTS, I am sure they will be well served by this game, but I was hoping for a stronger strategic level to go along side the tactical level, much like all other TW titles include.

The graphics of this game, and the animation of the characters is outstanding. The plot and voice acting is first rate. The polish of this game is really quite good. The game looks fantastic on an iPad retina display.

I felt let down by the game play itself, and the cramped feel of the smallish battle field. I play this game exclusively in a 3rd gen iPad, and dont contemplate ever trying it on an iPhone. It seems as though the developer made this game to work on the smaller screen and in doing so it seems unnecessarily cramped on a larger iPad screen.

With that said, the game looks great, and I am sure many will enjoy this game. I am not one of those, despite a real effort on my part, I just could not find any part of the game play to enjoy.
